4-Point & Wind Mitigation Reports for Florida Homeowners

When it’s time to renew your home insurance, many carriers request updated inspection reports. At ALEX Home Inspection Services, we provide the 4-Point and Wind Mitigation inspections commonly required by insurers throughout Florida.

Our goal is simple: offer a clear, dependable inspection process that helps homeowners stay prepared.

Our Two-Step Inspection Process

Step 1 — Initial Inspection & Report

We perform your 4-Point and Wind Mitigation inspections and create a detailed report showing the current condition of the home. You’ll know exactly what was found, with clear observations and photos.

Step 2 — Free Follow-Up Visit (Optional)

If you decide to make updates based on the general observations noted in your first report, we return at no additional cost to complete a follow-up inspection and prepare updated documents for your records.

Many homeowners appreciate this second visit because it ensures their updated information is accurately documented for insurance purposes.

4-Point Inspection

Covers four major home systems:

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC

  • Roof structure

Wind Mitigation Inspection

Documents wind-resistant features such as:

  • Roof shape and covering

  • Roof-to-wall connections

  • Opening protection

  • Structural design features

In most cases, reports are delivered within 24 hours after the first inspection. If a follow-up visit is requested, updated reports are sent promptly after the second inspection.

All inspection reports follow Florida’s accepted standards and documentation formats.
